EicDevCon does not follow the classic agency model. The focus is on software that is operated and developed further well beyond its first release — and on the decisions that determine whether that succeeds.
Background
EicDevCon UG (haftungsbeschränkt) was founded in 2015 and is based in Rosdorf near Göttingen, Germany. It is registered in the Commercial Register maintained by Amtsgericht Göttingen under HRB 205700; the full details are in the imprint.
The company works at the boundary between architecture and implementation. In practice that means whoever owns the design also owns the result in production. That coupling is deliberate. It prevents designs that work on paper and not in the data centre.
Technical focus
- Software & integrations – business applications and interfaces between systems that were never designed for each other
- Web applications & platforms – server-rendered applications built for a long life
- Mobile development – native applications for Android and iOS, including on-device storage
- Identity & access management – authentication, authorisation and user management across systems designed in isolation
The technologies involved are listed under expertise, each with its actual context of use.
Our own products
With AuraHarmony, EicDevCon runs its own mobile application. Owning a product forces decisions that someone else usually makes in client work — about data handling, release processes and what will still be maintainable in five years.
How we work
- Understand the starting situation – which systems exist, who operates them, which assumptions were never verified?
- Assess dependencies and risks – what happens on failure, under load, or when data quality degrades?
- Decide the architecture – system boundaries and technology decisions are reasoned through and written down.
- Build it and keep developing it – maintainability results from the first three steps; it is not a later clean-up.
